THANK YOU AND BEST WISHES FOR CHRISTMAS & THE NEW YEAR

Thank you so much to all the loyal friends, who have supported us through the trials and tribulations of 2021 – a year like no other!

ON behalf of our front-line team at Mulsey Farm: Nigel, Denise and Sophie with help from Barry and Ray and our volunteer Natasha, and all the horses at The Racehorse Sanctuary we would like to wish our wonderful supporters a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.  Thank you so much for supporting us through the trials and tribulations of 2021.

LAUNCH OF OUR SECOND CHANCE CHRISTMAS APPEAL

In an effort to make good our loss of income from racedays and other events cancelled by Covid, we have launched a crucial online appeal for donations this Christmas.

AS the weather turns more wintery, we have launched our Second Chance Christmas Appeal to raise desperately needed funds to cover veterinary costs, bedding and feed – costs which are always higher at this time of year.  Our dedicated team will be hard at work on Christmas Day, ensuring that the horses in our care are well looked after, as our equine welfare commitment does not just stop because it is Christmas!  We can not do this on our own, we rely on our supporters to help us and this is where you come in: please donate generously HERE to support or lifetime care of ex-racehorses.

NEWS OF OUR HORSES

Thankfully despite Covid we have continued to be able to find homes for horses after assessment and rehabilitation by our team at Mulsey Farm, particularly for ridden horses.

NIGEL reports that that after Illustrious Spirit has progressed in his work for Sophie, he has been confident to rehome this smashing horse with new keeper Shonagh.  You can see Illustrious Spirit here ready for his work with Sophie and at his new home with Shonagh.

Finding new homes for our non-ridden horses remains a challenge.  Two here are looking for new homes as companion horses:  on left the mare In Deep who raced on the Flat and over
hurdles and on the right the mare Lexi Grady Alice.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST: EVERYONE NEEDS A FRIEND

AND not just at Christmas.

OPUS and New Rich are the best of friends at any time of the year.  Why do you not become their friend too, by becoming a Friend of The Racehorse Sanctuary?  See HERE for details.
