Announcing our Fontwell Charity Raceday Competition Winner and Auction Items

Congratulations Jodine Norfolk, the winner of the Racehorse Sanctuary National Spirit Hurdle Charity Raceday at Fontwell competition! 

We look forward to welcoming Jodine and her guest to a great afternoon's racing, complete with a champagne reception, a three-course silver service lunch and an opportunity to bid for fantastic items in our Charity auction compered by the inimitable former Desert Orchid jockey Colin Brown.

MORNING ON THE GALLOPS, WITH CHAMPION NATIONAL HUNT TRAINER PAUL NICHOLLS, AND BREAKFAST FOR FOUR PEOPLE

 Meet 10-times Champion Trainer Paul and his team at his Manor Farm Stables at Ditcheat in Somerset. Manor Farm has seen well over 2,700 winners pass through its gates and into Paul's care, with a season best total of 155 during the 2008-2009 campaign. Four Cheltenham Gold Cups, five Champion Chases, a remarkable nine King George VI Chases and many other victories have contributed to Paul’s huge, ongoing success. Meet the horses, watch them go through their paces and hear about the yard’s notable triumphs, then enjoy breakfast with Team Ditcheat. For four people. A YEAR’S MEMBERSHIP OF THE FOX-PITT EVENTING CLUB & INVITATION TO A MORNING AT THE YARD 

William was the first British rider to become eventing’s World No 1, a distinction he achieved in 2002, 2009, 2010 and again in 2014. He has represented his country consistently over the past 20 years, winning team Silver at the 2012 London Olympics, team Silver at the 2004 Athens Olympics, team Bronze at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, team Silver and Individual Bronze at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, Individual Bronze at the 2013 European Championships in Malmo, team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, team Silver at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, and team Bronze at the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez. He has won seven team Gold medals at the European Championships and has been the British No 1 eleven times. William has won an unprecedented 14 CCI****'s, 50 CCI three-day events and 21 CIC one-day events. His achievements in the sport make him one of the most successful British event riders of all time. A SIGNED RICHARD DUNWOODY PHOTO OF FAMOUS CAMARGUE HORSES 

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, Richard Dunwoody became the only jockey of his generation to win the ‘Big Three’ National Hunt races following wins on West Tip (Grand National 1986), Charter Party (Gold Cup 1988) and Kribensis (Champion Hurdle 1990). He also partnered the great Desert Orchid to seven victories. He won the Grand National again on Miinnehoma in 1994 and was Champion Jockey three times (1993-95). He was awarded the MBE for services to his sport in 1993. Since retiring as a jockey besides sport, adventure and travel, he has always been passionate about photography and in 2011 he signed up to a nine-month intensive photojournalism course at the Spéos Photographic Institute in Paris. A THREE NIGHT STAY FOR TWO IN HISTORIC BATH WITH TWO PREMIER TICKETS TO BATH RACECOURSE 

A three-night stay for two in a beautifully appointed luxury Georgian Apartment in the centre of the historic city of Bath with a parking permit. ORIGINAL WATERCOLOUR PAINTING OF HORSE’S HEAD BY GILLIAN HARRIS 

Gillian Harris has been a professional artist for over thirty years, with paintings displayed in private collections all over the world. She has exhibited in London galleries, Game Fairs and Horse Trials, but now her work is mostly commissioned. Gillian's portfolio contains portraits, people portraits, pet portraits, animal portraits, animal sculptures and sculptures. Kindly donated by Caroline Paul. 

A VISIT FOR SIX TO THE ROYAL NAVY HISTORIC FLIGHT, ROYAL NAVAL AIR STATION, YEOVILTON 

This memorable day for six to see The Royal Navy’s collection of historic aircraft including the iconic Fairey Swordfish, the Hawker Sea Fury and only airworthy Sea Vixen in the world, meet pilots and aircrew and spend the afternoon in the Fleet Air Arm Museum, a great day out for everyone. A HOSPITALITY BOX AT FONTWELL PARK RACECOURSE, WITH THREE COURSE BUFFET LUNCH, FOR UP TO 12 PEOPLE 

Fontwell Park are delighted to donate a private suite in the Premier Grandstand for up to 12 guests, on selected racedays. Your day will include a hospitality admission ticket, Racecard and three course buffet meal, and cash bar facility to be enjoyed alongside the day’s racing.
